Microsoft Unveils Snapdragon 835 Powered Laptops: Snapdragon is famous for its powerful chipsets which power most of the flagship mobile devices out there. Whether its Google, Samsung, HTC, OnePlus, LG, or Sony, every premium smartphone manufacturer, apart from Apple and Huawei, depends on Snapdragon SoCs to power their smartphones. And now, Snapdragon is collaborating with Microsoft to bring the same power to Windows PCs.

Microsoft recently teased a series of “Always Connected Devices”, which are LTE-enabled laptops powered by ARM processors from Qualcomm. These portable laptops run Windows 10 S and Microsoft claims a mind-blowing 20+ hours of battery life along with support for all popular Windows apps. The first 2 Windows 10 laptops featuring the Snapdragon 835 SoC are:

  • Asus Nova Go

This laptop is powered by the Snapdragon 835, includes supports for LTE connectivity, and features a full HDMI port and a microSD slot. It uses a 13.3″ Full HD touchscreen, supports Asus Pen, and weighs nearly twice as much as HP’s ARM laptop.

  • HP ENVY x2

This laptop lookalike is powered by a Snapdragon 835 and features support for Gigabit LTE. It features a 12″ Full HD touch display and weighs only around 0.7kg. It will be available starting spring next year.

Both the laptops feature 8GB RAM and up to 256GB of storage. As of now, the respective manufacturers have not revealed the price of the machines, but both the laptops are expected to cost somewhere between $600 and $800.
