The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has been in the news since January this year, and can be expected to launch soon. From US FCC listings to leaked specifications and retail boxes, the smartphone has been leaked in a variety of ways.
Now, the latest leak features live images of the smartphone, and points to an 18:9 display with minimal bezels on all sides, a dual rear camera setup, as well as a rear fingerprint sensor, apart from a metallic body.
Shared by a Weibo user, the live images purported to be of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 show a grey metallic body. Looking at the front panel, we can see minimal bezels on all sides. The top bezel is especially thin, despite containing the front camera and earpiece.
There is virtually no bezel at the bottom, and, no home button either. The bezel-less display is expected give the smartphone a display aspect ratio of 18:9.
On the rear panel, the purported Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 live photos show a vertical dual rear camera setup, with the fingerprint sensor below it – the obvious new location after removing the home button. Not much else can be seen.
